N.W. Posthumus Conference 2011

Each year social and economic historians of the Netherlands and Belgium/Flanders gather at the N.W. Posthumus Conference (NWPC) to present and discuss innovative results and upcoming research initiatives. The 2011 conference will take place on Thursday 12 May and Friday 13 May 2011 in Antwerp, Belgium (view practical information).

'Households as agents of change?'

The general theme of the conference is 'Households as agents of change?'. The keynote lecture by Professor Jane Humphries (University of Oxford) and a number of the conference sessions will be devoted to this theme (see call for papers). In addition the conference allows advanced Posthumus PhD students to present a paper on the basis of their PhD-research.
