MICRO COMPUTERIZED TOMOGRAPHY RESEARCH GROUP
Within the department Biomedical Sciences of the University of Antwerp the Micro CT Scan research group is a core facility for high resolution X-ray microscopy.
The laboratory is situated at the Drie Eiken Campus of the University of Antwerp. The coordinator of the group is Prof. Dr. Nora De Clerck.
The Micro CT Research Group of the University of Antwerp develops medical and biomedical applications for high resolution X-ray microscopy and microtomography.
Other scientists, like paleontologists, material scientists,... are welcome for collaboration.
We have two X-ray micro-CT scan instruments :
- 1. a Skyscan-1072 HIGH RESOLUTION in vitro X-ray microtomograph
- 2. a Skyscan-1076 in vivo X-ray microtomograph.
- Vision Lab
- Bio Imaging Labs
- the Experimental Pathophysiology Research Group
- the recently formed Expert Group Antwerp Molecular Imaging (EGAMI)
