Recently the board of the Society has decided to present an award in recognition of the best contribution at its local annual meetings. As one of the primary goals of the society is to encourage and support young researchers to present their scientific results at different national as well as international conferences, this price emphasises this aim. One award will be given for work done in the field of Biology and Medicine, the other one in the field of Materials Science and Physics. Only the presenting author is eligible for the prize. The winning contribution will be selected by the scientific committee of the meeting. Poster and oral presentations are equally qualified to receive the prize. During the poster session, the presenting author has to be available to explain details of the work. Evaluation will be based on the following criteria:
