The Belgian Society for Microscopy vzw is a society of professional microscopists from academia, industry and government laboratories. The goal of the BSM is to promote microscopy in all its aspects, and to foster interaction between its members within Belgium, and with colleagues in Europe and elsewhere.

The BSM is a member of the European Microscopy Society EMS and the International Federation of Societies for Microscopy IFSM

Amateur microscopists are referred to the KAGM, with a website in Dutch and lots of interesting international links

The BSM General Assembly will be held on June 7, 2012, 15:30 at Gasthuisberg in Leuven. This coincides with the ELMI conference at the same location. The General Assembly will elect a number of Board and Council members.

Deadline for nominations for Board and Council positions is June 10. See announcement for details.

Deadline for nominations for the 2012 BSM Thesis Awards is July 31, 2012.

Upcoming conference, co-organized by the BSM vzw:
